About Us
Providing education and fellowship to stand up quilters in North and South Carolina
The Carolina Longarm Association (CLA) was formed in 1999 to provide education and fellowship to Longarm (LA) quilters throughout the North and South Carolina region. We hold quarterly meetings where our members share their LA quilting knowledge and ideas. The CLA hosts workshops for new LA quilters along with providing ideas for marketing their skills. We also host classes and workshops by nationally known Longarm quilting instructors. The CLA membership strives to achieve a level of skill within the membership that will assure that our customers receive a top quality product.
The CLA is a proud supporter of the Quilts of Valor Project by providing LA quilting at no cost to those piecers who participate. We accept quilt tops from our own guilds and will quilt and/or bind these before sending them to the QOV Headquarters to be distributed to our veterans.
We also offer programs and trunk shows to our statewide quilt guilds. If you are interested in one of our programs or would like to add the CLA Best Longarm Quilting ribbon to your quilt show, please visit the contact us page to request one of our programs..
